About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will ensure that the physical aspect and general maintenance of the building meets company standards and applicable laws. The Maintenance Technician will diagnose problems and make minor repairs in areas such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance.Â
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain Partners in Autism’s company culture standards and best practices
Maintain cleanliness on the premises
Complete work orders as requested by the Director of Operations
Perform minor plumbing/mechanical/electrical repairs
Complete drywall repairs and painting as needed
Install flooring, carpet squares, cabinetry, etc. as needed
Grounds keeping
Remove snow and spread salt on walkways prior to staff/client arrival
Contact and schedule repairs for larger maintenance jobs as approved by Owner
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Reliable transportation
Willingness to drive between multiple locations and on errands for materials
Ability to manage time efficiently
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Must be courteous in an environment with a variety of individuals of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds
Must be able to respond immediately to emergency "on call" repairs or other building concerns
Must have 1 year of previous maintenance experienceÂ
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to do activities as required to maintain the safety and cleanliness of the building, which may include being able to bend, stoop, pull, push, walk, reach, lift, climb stairs, and lift at least 50 lbs. Must also be able to maneuver and do repetitive motions.Â
